Milestone Audit
Back in March, our game build for The Aetherlight was audited! We had the privilege (?) of having two experienced game developers (Stephen Knightly, head of the NZ Game Developers Association, and Mitch Olson, Founder of Smallworlds.com) come into our studio and review our release candidate, our production processes, our business and marketing plan, and our strategic direction. It was bit of nerve racking time, especially for me as the producer since it was shining a very large spotlight on me and my work.
I can however happily report that our auditors we very impressed with the work that we have been doing and have recommended to our funders that they continue with us! [Phew!].
Below are some comments from the audit report:
“Based on our experience developing similar game titles, we were impressed with the progress that the 2ndcity team had made in the four months of production they had to reach the Alpha milestone”
“the team have clarity and confidence on what the detailed game content itself needs to be, allowing them to focus efforts on building it rather than analysing what it should be. the art style and world building is well established with a distinct style”
They also reminded us that the hard work is only just beginning!
I must also take this opportunity to say that this was very much a team effort, and I am very thankful for the team that we have at 2ndcity Studios who worked together to pull off something awesome.
Onwards and upwards!
Well done guy & gals
